Warranty overview

Product-specific coverage for qualifying composite applications

Subject to the conditions, exclusions, limitations, claim requirements, and proration in the official document, qualifying residential applications receive twenty-five years of performance, fade, and stain limited coverage.

The covered Product includes 3Peaks composite decking boards, fascia, and risers sold under the 3Peaks name in Onyx Rock, Silver Oak, Kawartha Cedar, and Muskoka Walnut, plus any colour expressly identified by 3Peaks in writing as covered.

Who is covered

The original purchaser or the property owner at the time of installation. Residential coverage applies to qualifying single-family, non-commercial walking-surface applications.

Commercial use

Any purchaser or use outside the defined residential application is commercial unless 3Peaks states otherwise in writing. Commercial coverage is ten years and non-transferable.

Which warranty applies

The warranty in effect on the original purchase date governs the Product. This version applies to qualifying purchases on or after June 13, 2026.

What is covered

Three defined areas of limited coverage

Coverage applies under normal use and service when the Product is properly installed, used, and maintained.

Performance

Manufacturing defects resulting in checking, splitting, splintering, delamination, protective-cap failure, cracking, rot, or structural damage from fungal decay may be covered.

Fade

The exposed walking surface is covered when colour change from sunlight and weathering exceeds five Delta E (CIE) units and all claim requirements are met.

Stain

The exposed walking surface is covered for eligible permanent food-and-beverage stains when the spill is cleaned with soap and water or a mild household cleaner within one week.

Approved residential claims

Product material recovery is prorated after year ten

Proration applies only to covered Product material. Labour, removal, disposal, freight, delivery, taxes, fasteners, accessories, railing, framing, substructure, and finishing work are excluded.

Year of claimMaximum recovery
Years 1–10100%
Years 11–1490%
Years 15–1880%
Years 19–2270%
Years 23–2560%

One residential transfer

A Residential Purchaser may transfer the warranty once, within five years of the original purchase date, to a subsequent owner of the property where the Product was installed. Commercial coverage is non-transferable.

Exclusive remedy

For an approved claim, 3Peaks may choose either to replace the affected Product or refund the applicable portion of its original purchase price. A replacement may not exactly match colour, grain, sheen, texture, profile, or design.

Claim process

Act promptly and keep complete records

Claims should be submitted in writing through the authorized dealer that sold the Product or by contacting 3Peaks.

  1. Notify 3Peaks

Provide notice within thirty days after discovering the alleged defect and before the applicable warranty term ends.

  2. Submit supporting information

Include the required purchase, installation, product, issue, and photographic records. 3Peaks may request reasonable additional information.

  3. Allow inspection

Give 3Peaks a reasonable opportunity to inspect before repairing, removing, altering, or replacing the Product.

Additional stain-claim step

First clean the area within one week. If it remains reasonably unsatisfactory, professional deck cleaning at the purchaser’s expense is required before a claim is submitted within thirty days after that cleaning.
